Southwell Racecourse hosts flat and jump racing but is predominantly best known for its all-weather Tapeta track that sees racing throughout the year and which has recently been floodlit.
It is one of the busiest racecourses in the UK, with over eight meetings a month through the winter.
The all-weather course at Southwell has been compared to a US-style track, and on occasion, trainer Aidan O’Brien has used Southwell for racecourse gallops to prepare his horses for the Breeders Cup.
