I expect to see an open Derbi Sevillano and both teams to find the net.
Lille to beat Metz
Even though Lille’s fantastic three-game winning streak in Ligue 1 ended in the previous round, they are still considered one of the most consistent teams in the league. The Wolves also fought bravely against Aston Villa in the Conference league and lost on penalties after winning the second tie at home. I will back them to return to winning ways in France and beat relegation candidate Metz.
Rennes to beat Brest
Rennes ended their poor run of results in style last weekend by demolishing Nantes 3-0 on the road. The only way for them to stay in the European contention is by collecting all three points on Sunday against better-placed Brest. The visitors have low confidence after suffering two straight losses, so I see value in backing Rennes here.
