Okay, the Snooker Shoot-Out isn’t quite as much of a lottery as we are making out, but form and common sense can often go out of the window in this one-frame event.
It’s one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the World Snooker Tour and can see some players turn up and leave having only played one shot!
We’ve picked out four potential winners from the Class of 2023 as the madness of the Snooker Shootout gets underway on Wednesday.
Mark Williams to win the 2023 Snooker Shoot-Out at 22/1 with bet365
Mark Williams has made the semi-final and final at the last two Snooker Shoot-Out events.
The wily veteran has the tactical nouse combined with the long-pot aggression in order to succeed over this one-frame format.
He’s also in fine fettle on the tour at the moment finishing runner-up at January’s Masters and reaching at least the quarter-finals in ten events this season.
At 22/1 with bet365 you’ll do well to find a better option than Mark Williams coming into the Shoot-Out.
Mark Allen to win the 2023 Snooker Shoot-Out at 33/1 with bet365
Fresh off the back of his World Grand Prix title, Mark Allen is well positioned to run well at the Shoot-Out.
His form in the 2022-23 season so far is ridiculous: he’s won three rankings titles and finished runner-up at the British Open.
If you’re looking for confidence then Mark Allen is your man, and 33/1 with bet365 says he can add to his trophy collection in Leicester.
Robert Milkins to win the 2023 Snooker Shoot-Out at 40/1 with bet365
Robert Milkins is a lovely outsider at 40/1 with bet365.
The “Milkman’s” best running here was a final loss at the 2011 event but his record stands pretty strong at 23-12.
His aggressive style lends well to positive runs at the Shoot-Out.

Graeme Dott to win the 2023 Snooker Shoot-Out at 66/1 with bet365
Two-time runner-up Graeme Dott is always worth a small stake.
The Scot is 66/1 with bet365 to finally break his duck in this one-frame format having been a frame away in 2012 and 2018.
His form on tour isn’t much to shout about, but this unique event doesn’t always lend itself to the guys at the top of their game.
