Belgium will be aiming to silence some of their detractors when they begin their Euro 2024 campaign in earnest with a Group E clash against Slovakia on Sunday afternoon in the Waldstadion, Frankfurt.

Belgium vs Slovakia Match Preview
In the past two editions of the tournament, the Red Devils have failed to progress beyond the quarter-finals, and while the supposed “Golden Generation” tag has sailed, the fans won’t want to see success elude them for too much longer.
Slovakia, in the meantime, will be taking their place at the Euros for the third time in a row, and they will harbour ambitions of reaching the Round of 16.
Moreover, they come into the tournament on the back of some decent form, losing just two of their past 11 competitive matches (W7, D2), and the likes of Napoli midfielder Stanislav Lobotka and Paris Saint-Germain veteran Milan Skriniar will add some experience to the spine of the team.
But how will things pan out? To drum up some excitement for this game, I have whisked my way over to the betting markets and plucked out a couple of tips for your consideration.
Belgium to start with a bang
Throughout their history, Belgium have had some lean spells. You have to go back to 1980 for when they last reached the final of the Euros.
Though Belgium are carrying some favour in the outrights, they aren’t necessarily talked about in the same manner as bookmakers are about France, hosts Germany, Spain, and England.
While they have been able to retain key stars such as Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku, integrating the next wave of talent has been the most pressing concern for Tedesco.

Although Romelu Lukaku will head into Euro 2024 as Belgium’s all-time top scorer (six goals and counting) and joint top appearance-maker, the supporting cast will have to step up.
