After a brief hiatus due to the international break, the Bundesliga will reset on Friday evening, and there is a mouth-watering game in store as Bayern Munich locks horns with Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena.

This clash will see the top two face off, and there are several intriguing battles to pay close attention to.
It will also feature two former North London derby rivals with Tottenham legend Harry Kane spearheading the Bayern attack, while ex-Arsenal star Granit Xhaka will be hoping to keep things tight for the visitors in midfield.
This will also be a stiff test of Leverkusen’s potential title credentials even though the season is only three games old.
Both sides boast a perfect 100% record going into this clash, and it will make for compelling viewing.
But how will this one unfold? I have run the rule over this game and I have selected a couple of tips for you to mull over ahead of kick-off.
Bayern Munich to keep visitors at bay
While Bayern have hit their groove early on, they haven’t been as free scoring as they were at the start of last term.
That said, there have been plenty of positives to take, and they have conceded a mere two goals in their first three outings.
The reigning champions are looking to clinch the Bundesliga for a record-extending 12th time, but they will have to be patient against a Leverkusen side who are at the summit and appear to be well drilled under Xabi Alonso.
This could be a rip-roaring encounter, but Bayern will be desperate to maintain their winning start to the campaign.
The omens don’t look good for Leverkusen, who have scored just once on their past three visits to the Allianz Arena, and that was in a 1-1 draw in March 2022.
Although Bayern might not enjoy as thumping a win as they did when they romped to a 4-0 victory over Leverkusen last year, they could well keep a clean sheet.
For my first pick, I have gone with Bayern to win & to win to nil, which is paying out at a tempting price of 3/1 with Paddy Power.
Leroy Sane to get the ball rolling
Of course, we can’t overlook Kane’s impact at Bayern, and he has already popped up with three league goals.
Yes, Bayern’s showdown with Leverkusen will pit two of the Bundesliga’s sharpest shooters against each other, with Victor Boniface rattling home four times this term.
But Bayern are more than just Kane. They can hurt you all over the pitch, and Sane, for example, who has struck three times this season, is reflective of this.
Sane seems to be thriving in the current system under Thomas Tuchel, and he has been more than contributing.
He should target double figures this term, and he could well add to his tally against Leverkusen. To round things off, I have gone with Sane to net the first goal of the game, and he’s trading at an inviting 13/2 with Betway.
