Whether it’s teams chasing a place in the quarter-finals or even a home tie in the last eight courtesy of a top-two finish in the respective groups, this is a vital night in this season’s Vitality Blast.
There are a handful of matches to be played across the two groups before Friday’s conclusion.
The standout fixtures are North Group leaders Birmingham versus hosts Northamptonshire, who are fourth in the table, and Somerset against Sussex. That’s third versus second in the South.
I do think the most likely winners of the night are Derbyshire at Worcestershire, though I can understand why you may be wary of backing a Derbyshire side who haven’t set the world alight at 8/11.
Derbyshire have won five of 12 games and know they will need to win their last two to have any chance of the quarter-finals. Worcestershire are second-bottom with only four wins from 13, but they have a spate of bowling injuries which the Falcons can capitalise on.
Instead of taking that odds-on price, maybe consider William Hill’s 3/1 treble on Derbyshire to win, to have the highest score at the first dismissal and for them to score over 49.5 runs in their six-over powerplay. New Road is a fast-scoring venue - decent pitch, short boundaries.
In Worcestershire’s defeat on Sunday, Yorkshire chased 206 to win.

Vitality T20 Blast Betting Tips
Runs, runs, runs
It’s fair to say runs are likely in the match between Somerset and Sussex at Taunton.
In Somerset’s last three matches, they have posted scores of 194-6, 183-4 and 158-1 (chasing 157 to beat Hampshire). In Sussex’s last three matches, they have posted 200-7, 203-7 and 207-2.
bet365 are offering 10/11 on over 15.5 sixes in the match, which I think is worth taking on.
Young seamer Raphael Weatherall has taken six wickets in his last three matches for Northamptonshire, including a four-wicket haul in there. He is their joint leading wicket-taker with 11 in the tournament.
It’s for those reasons I believe he is decent value at 5/2 with bet365 to take two or more wickets in their home clash with Birmingham Bears.
Paddy Power have Derbyshire top order batter David Lloyd - he bats at three for them - at a juicy 9/2 to be their top run-scorer against Worcestershire.
He’s scored 293 runs in the tournament - the most by a Falcon - and he scored a fifty two games ago. I think that price is worth siding with.
With Somerset and Sussex being full of runs in this tournament, and with batting talent aplenty, it’s a surprise that none of their batters have yet posted a century.
Toms Abell (Somerset) and Alsop (Sussex) have scores of 96 and 87 to their name.
But this could be the night when someone goes further. bet365 are offering a price of 11/2 for any batter to achieve that century feat in this fixture.
