The Open

Cameron Young to beat Kurt Kitayama

Young has an impressive Open record, including finishing runner-up at St Andrew’s in 2022, and it’s surprising to see him the outsider in the betting for his 2-ball today against Kitayama.

While Kitayama had arguably his best links round on Friday, there’s no guarantee he’ll be able to back that up today and Young looks the value bet in this clash.

Joaquin Niemann to beat Matthew Jordan

This duo find themselves level-par after the opening two rounds at Royal Troon, but it could pay to side Niemann in what should be an entertaining 2-ball.

The Chilean has matched Jordan so far this week despite having the worst of the draw on Thursday and Friday, and he showed great tenacity to bounce back from a horrific quintuple bogey yesterday at the Postage Stamp.

Justin Rose to beat Billy Horschel

Rose is bang in contention despite seeing the worst of the draw on the opening two days, and the former world number one looks overpriced to edge out Billy Horschel.

The Englishman has been three shots better than Horschel over Round 1 and 2, and with tee times taken into account, it’s more like five.

Shane Lowry to beat Daniel Brown

Conditions are meant to deteriorate as the day progresses, and current leader Shane Lowry is a fair price to win the final 2-ball of the day.

This is a massive day for Daniel Brown, who arrived at Royal Troon out of form, and he’s never been this close to the lead in a major before.
