Sunrisers Hyderabad v Rajasthan Royals: IPL Betting Tips & Predictions

The latest cricket betting tips, predictions and betting offers from Freebets.com

Very few would have given Rajasthan a prayer in their Eliminator clash against Bangaluru yesterday. Heading into that game, they had lost four on the trot, while their opponents had won their last six. A football cliche rings true, ‘it’s a funny old game’.

But what their four-wicket win chasing 173 means is that our pre-tournament on Rajasthan to win the title remains alive.

In all honesty, one swallow doesn’t make a summer. RR were impressive yesterday, but I still think there are serious question marks. It may be time to start thinking about cashing out on any pre-tournament bets and taking a profit because Sunrisers Hyderabad have the quality to overpower them in this effective semi-final.

My strategy would have to be cash-out on Rajasthan winning the title and then back Sunrisers to win this fixture with some of the profit. They are available at 10/11 with Ladbrokes.

Sharma to put on a show and TKC to usurp his opening partner

Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma has hit 41 sixes in 14 matches this term, the most in the tournament. He has hit 12 sixes in his last three games, and that including none last time out. Betway have him at 5/4 to hit two sixes in this match.

Another short-priced bet has caught my eye. That is via bet365′s Race to 10 Runs market.

They have Tom Kohler-Cadmore at 6/4 against his opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal. That is backing the Englishman to reach 10 runs first. I think that’s worth siding with considering the man they call TKC has plenty of power.

Kohler-Cadmore has posted scores of 18 and 20 in two innings. He’s not set the world alight, but he’s looked ok. He and Jaiswal have opened together twice, and the pair have one win apiece in this said market.

Trans-Tasman pacers to shine

Rajasthan pacer Trent Boult, the New Zealand left-armer, and Sunrisers’ Australian fast-bowling captain Pat Cummins have been bubbling under of late. Now might be the time for them to take centre stage.

Boult was excellent with 1/16 from four overs against Bengaluru yesterday, while Cummins has picked up a wicket or more in his last five appearances, taking two wickets in one of them.

Betway have Cummins to take two wickets in this fixture available at 7/4.

The same price, 7/4, is also available with Ladbrokes on Boult to strike twice in the fixture.

Long-shots bet-builders to finish

Bet365 and betfair have a pair of bet builders which look worthy of taking on.

The first is a 15/2 shot on a Sunrisers win, Travis Head to score 30 plus runs and Pat Cummins to strike twice with the ball.

We’ve spoken about the two selections already, and opener Head has had an impressive campaign for SRH with 533 runs.

And, finally, betfair are offering 11/1 on Head, Klaasen and Sharma to each hit two sixes in the match. That’s worth a small stakes approach.
