Plymouth v Luton Match Preview
An opening-day defeat to Sheffield Wednesday had Plymouth fans expecting the worst this season, but there have been small signs of encouragement since then.
Successive draws against Hull and QPR were a starting point but the 3-2 win over Sunderland - top of the table at the time - was a major triumph for Wayne Rooney.
That it came thanks to a 93rd-minute winner from Joe Edwards gave real belief after the international break that things were about to turn, but that was followed by a defeat to West Brom last weekend.
However it means the Pilgrims have now faced the league's two top sides at this stage of the season and come out of it with three points, but things aren't about to get much better with Luton next up and then a trip to Burnley next week.
Rooney might be hoping for damage limitation from these two matches against sides who were in the Premier League last season, but that win over Sunderland should give them hope of causing Luton problems on home turf.
The Hatters had a tough start on their return to the Championship after going four games without a win at the start of the season, but successive wins over Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday have things looking up once again.
I fancy them to be up there again at the end of the season. Maybe not in the top two but they should certainly be challenging for the play-offs, and as such a trip to Plymouth - while not easy - should be a game Luton target, so I fancy them to be challenged but come through this game with both teams to score, which you can find at 12/5 with BetVictor.
Carlton Morris will be the man expected to lead the line and score the majority of Luton's goals this season and he was on target twice against Wednesday last week, so for him to score first against Plymouth is a decent price at 6/1 again with BetVictor.
