PGA Golf Betting Tips & Betting Offers: Hero World Challenge

The PGA Tour scuttles over to the Bahamas for the Hero World Challenge this week.
Christmas may be on the horizon, but the field isn't ready to let up just yet.
The 20-man field will be headlined by the World No.1 Scottie Scheffler, who is the defending champion and won the FedEx Cup back in September.
There is plenty of star power on show, and eight players will be making their debut, including Ludvig Aberg, Sahith Theegala, and Robert MacIntyre.
Unfortunately, Tiger Woods, who is the event’s host, won’t be playing once again due to ongoing back issues, while Tony Finau also withdrew.
However, with a total prize purse of close to £5 million, that is nothing to be scoffed at.
Anyway, the Ernie-Els designed course has a couple of testers. I have waded through the markets and handpicked a couple of golf betting tips for you to mull over ahead of the first tee shot on Thursday, plus the top golf betting offers from the best golf betting sites.
PGA Golf Betting Tips - Hero World Challenge
Scottie Scheffler to double up
In terms of Hero World Challenge course history, Scheffler is a towering figure. He has won and finished runner-up on his past three visits which serves to underline his credentials.
The American, who chalked up seven wins on the PGA Tour this season, has averaged just shy of 68 across his past 12 rounds at the Albany resort which makes for impressive reading.
Last year, Scheffler stormed to a three-shot victory with a final round of 68 on the Sunday, and Sepp Straka was his closest challenger.
Scheffler has topped a lot of the field metrics this term, including SG: Total and SG: Tee-to-Green, and his dominance has been remarkable.
He is a force of nature, and while his outright odds are short at 2/1, I can have few qualms with the price served up at Paddy Power. I’m leaning into Scheffler to claim back-to-back titles this weekend.
Sahith Theegala to lay down a marker in Round 1
The fairways are reasonable at Albany Resort, and this will play into the hands of the game’s longer drivers.
You can put Hero World Challenge debutant Theegala into that list, as he drives the ball just over 300 yards, and his all-round game is pretty robust.
At the Tour Championship in Atlanta, Theegala finished third and ended up on -24, the second-lowest 72-hole total in the tournament’s history.
Since then, he finished T7 and T56 at the Procore Championship, but I think Theegala could make a strong start this week.
To round off my golf betting tips, I’m going with Theegala to head the leaderboard after the first round, and he’s at an inviting 16/1 to do so with bet365 should you wish to follow up on that.
