Mauritius Open 3-Ball Betting Tips, Odds & Predictions

The DP World Tour pulls the curtain down on the Opening Swing of the events at the Mauritius Open in this week's 3-ball betting tips.
Denoting the final tournament before the Christmas break, no players will be easing up at Mont Choisy Le Golf.
While it might not necessarily be the strongest field, there will be a huge South African contingent taking part and the players will want to finish the season on a high.
The French, meanwhile, have put themselves on the golfing map in recent months. Indeed, there were six Frenchmen involved in the 50-man field for the season finale at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
Mont Choisy boasts wide fairways, but it has a links-style feel to it. Previous scores have suggested there could be ample birdie opportunities.
Earlier this week, I provided a full tournament preview. Now, I have turned my attention to the tee times and circled some 3-ball betting tips, plus the top golf betting offers from the best golf betting sites.
3-Ball Betting Tips - Mauritius Open
Casey Jarvis to beat Ross Fisher & Martin Couvra
Following a stellar amateur career, Casey Jarvis, who only turned pro in 2022, is trying to fulfill his promise.
The South African is coming off the back of a T11 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, and he showed some nice touches in and around the greens.
He started last week with aplomb, firing a 65, and he could be too hot to handle in Round 1.
Ross Fisher missed the cut, and his form was ropey in 2024. Some of his stats make for dismal reading including average putts per round (ranked 182nd) and sand saves (ranked 180th).
Martin Couvra, meanwhile, is ranked 344th in the world, and he is a bit of an unknown quantity.
Judging from what I saw of Jarvis last week, he’s my first pick to prevail in the 3-balls.
Antoine Rozner to beat Daniel Van Tonder & Robin Williams
The most high-profile player in the field, Antoine Rozner made serious strides in 2024.
Finishing 15th in the Race 2 Dubai Rankings, Rozner is a former Mauritius Open champion, and more often than not, he’s been in contention.
Daniel Van Tonder’s appearances on the DP World Tour have left something to be desired, and he had a free weekend last weekend after missing the cut.
Robin Williams’ recent results, meanwhile, have been very mixed, but his T36 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge was his best performance in his past three outings.
However, Rozner, who I backed in the outrights, would like to lay down a marker ahead of 2025. In terms of 3-ball betting tips, I’m siding with him to finish ahead of Van Tonder and Williams in Round 1.
Richard Mansell to beat Eddie Pepperell & Pieter Moolman
In many ways, Eddie Pepperell seems like an old-timer, even if his age belies that.
Currently 33, Pepperell has picked up two DP World Tour wins, but there wasn’t too much to shout home about in 2024. Well, apart from his driving accuracy (ranks 17th for that performance metric), results were hard to come by.
Pieter Moolman, similarly appears to be a longshot in the outright market, although he will have taken heart from his T28 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and a T33 finish at the Betfred British Masters back in September.
But Richard Mansell seems to be the most well-rounded in this group. For that reason, I’m leaning into him to take the honours in Round 1.
