Martin Odegaard sends Bayern Munich warning to Arsenal players

Arsenal face off with Bayern Munich in the first of two quarter-final Champions League ties on Tuesday evening.

The Gunners are favourites for the match despite not making it past the last-eight stage of the competition since 2009 and can be backed at 8/11 with bet365 to pick up the win.

Martin Odegaard sends Bayern warning to Arsenal

Ahead of Tuesday evening’s clash, Martin Odegaard has warned Arsenal not to underestimate Bayern Munich, despite their inconsistent 2023/24 Bundesliga campaign.

Bayern Munich are set to lose out on the Bundesliga to Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen this season, with the Bavarian outfit having already lost six league games this term - one more than they lost in all of 2022/23.

Odegaard, however, is wary about underestimating Bayern and has told his teammates not to be complacent:

“They have had some strange results in the league, but if you look at the team, you can see the quality they have,” he said.

“And we know that, we know they are a really strong side. Really good individual players as well. It will be a tough battle. But we are ready.”

On Bayern’s top scorer, Harry Kane, the Arsenal captain added: “I think we should respect him, but I don’t think we should fear anyone. And we should focus on ourselves and the quality we have in our team. And that is all.
