Luton v QPR Betting Tips, Odds & Match Preview - Championship Betting Tips

This week’s Friday Night Football takes us to Kenilworth Road, where Luton are still looking for their first win of the season on the return to the Championship.

They had been tipped as one of the pre-season favourites but two defeats and a draw leave them eyeing up QPR despite losing to them on penalties in the EFL Cup during the week.

I’ve reviewed the best football betting offers, odds, and markets from our selection of top football betting sites to bring you free betting tips for Luton v QPR.

Luton v QPR Match Preview

Having fared pretty well in the Premier League given their resources, Luton were expected to hit the ground running this season on their return to the Championship but it would seem they are still feeling the effects of a hangover from relegation last season.

An opening day meeting with Burnley was not what was needed - nor was the 4-1 punishment they were handed at home - but a draw with Portsmouth and then a defeat at Preston were of more concern with just one goal scored across their three league games to date.

A 1-1 draw in the cup at QPR during the week before losing on penalties leaves them in a sticky spot three weeks into the season.

They will be hoping for further squad reinforcements by the end of the week but with Mark McGuinness the only player who has arrived for any notable money, it would be no surprise to see Luton drop back into the pack after their stunning achievement two years ago.

QPR will be hoping to take advantage of the current predicament at Kenilworth Road and after themselves going without a win in the league so far - albeit beating Cambridge in the EFL Cup - but picking up two draws, the win on penalties over Luton during the week will have done them a world of good.

Given the state of the two sides so far this season, I’m going to hedge my bets and back a pretty cautious game with neither side full of confidence or form, so a draw at 14/5 with betfair looks a good place to start in terms of betting tips.

Carlton Morris will be the man Luton look to for their firepower in this one. He acquitted himself well in the Premier League last season but has not got off the mark yet, and it’s only a matter of time before he does so I’d be tempted to take BetMGM’s odds of 11/2 for him to score the first goal.
