Josh Allen Over 33.5 Passing Attempts
The Bills’ seven-game winning streak came to an end last Sunday with a 44-42 road loss to the Rams. Despite Josh Allen delivering an incredible performance—becoming the first player in NFL history to record three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns in a single game—it wasn’t enough to secure victory.
Allen completed 22 of his 37 passing attempts in the game, as the Bills were forced to rely heavily on his arm while playing catch-up. A similar scenario is likely in Week 15 when Buffalo faces the Lions.
Detroit boasts one of the league’s strongest run defences, conceding just 93.9 rushing yards per game (5th in the NFL) and 4.3 yards per carry (tied 9th). They’ve held opponents under 100 rushing yards in five consecutive games.
However, the Lions are more vulnerable through the air, allowing 224.7 passing yards per game (23rd) despite ranking second in the league in opposing completion percentage (60.7%). Allen is likely to attempt 35 or more passes at Ford Field.
The two-time Pro Bowl quarterback has thrown at least 34 passes in five of his last six appearances. This season, Allen has accumulated 3,033 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and just five interceptions while completing 64.1% of his attempts.
Jahmyr Gibbs Over 67.5 Rushing Yards
The Bills’ defence excels against the pass, allowing just 10.0 yards per catch (3rd in the NFL) and 208.9 passing yards per game (9th). However, their run defence remains a weakness, conceding 123.1 rushing yards per game (19th) and 4.7 yards per carry (tied 24th).
Over the past two weeks, Buffalo has given up 290 rushing yards. The Lions, equipped with one of the league’s best offensive lines, are poised to exploit this vulnerability. Detroit also boasts an elite running back duo in David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, and Gibbs seems primed to thrive in this contest.
Buffalo has already surrendered 11 runs of 20-plus yards this season, the seventh-most in the NFL. While Montgomery has managed just one 20-plus yard rush in 2024, Gibbs has delivered nine, two of which exceeded 40 yards.
Gibbs consistently produces explosive plays behind Detroit’s dominant offensive line, posing a significant challenge for the Bills. Averaging 5.7 yards per carry—the fourth-highest in the NFL—Gibbs has also climbed to fourth in the league with 1,016 rushing yards.
Having surpassed 69 rushing yards in four of his last five games, Gibbs looks set for another strong outing.
Jared Goff Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
The Lions are likely to rely on their ground game to advance downfield, but once in the red zone, Jared Goff will be called upon to connect with one of his targets.
Buffalo’s defence has given up 28 offensive touchdowns this season, with 18 of those coming through the air. They’ve also allowed the sixth-most red-zone attempts (48) and rank 16th in the NFL for opposing red-zone efficiency (54.2%).
Jared Goff has been impressive this season, amassing 3,265 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and ten interceptions. He has thrown for at least two touchdowns in four of his last five outings.
In last week’s 34-31 victory over Green Bay, Goff delivered another strong performance, completing 32 of his 41 passes for 283 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.
