Latest Manchester City injury news before Real Madrid meeting

Manchester City travel to Spain on Tuesday evening for a Champions League quarter-final clash vs Real Madrid.

The Sky Blues beat Los Blancos en route to the competition final last year and will face a similarly tough test from the Spanish outfit this week. Back Man City to beat Real Madrid at 29/20 with bet365.

Manchester City injury update

Here is the latest Manchester City injury news ahead of their first-leg clash with Real Madrid.

Josko Gvardiol started at left-back in City’s win over Crystal Palace at the weekend but was taken off at half-time.

Both Pep Guardiola and Rico Lewis mentioned an issue for the defender in their post-match interviews. Pep labelled it as a ‘little problem’, which means it may not keep Gvardiol out of the Madrid clash.

Elsewhere, Pep Guardiola said last week that Ederson was doing ‘much better’ after he picked up a knock in the draw at Liverpool last month. The Brazilian then returned to the squad vs Palace but was left on the bench, suggesting he could be back in the XI in midweek.

Finally, Kyle Walker picked up a leg muscle injury during the recent international break and he has not played since. However, Manchester City are reportedly hopeful that the right-back could make the Real Madrid game.
