Hibernian v Queen’s Park Betting Tips, Odds & Match Preview - Scottish League Cup

There’s live Scottish League Cup action on Premier Sports this evening as Hibernian face Queen’s Park at Easter Road.

It was a five-star start to the League Cup for both these sides on Saturday, each recording comfortable 5-0 victories - Hibs thrashing Elgin and Queen’s Park cruising past Peterhead.

That sets up tonight’s clash in Leith nicely and both sides will fancy their chances of making it two wins from two.

Hibernian v Queen’s Park Match Preview

It’s a big season for Hibs under new coach David Gray, having parted ways with Lee Johnson and Nick Montgomery last term - a season of stability on and off the field is a top priority for Hibs fans.

The Hibees have looked impressive in pre-season and in Saturday’s clash with Elgin, but Queen’s Park arrive in the capital on an excellent run of form - unbeaten in their last four competitive games, with an aggregate score of 12-0.

They look a solid outfit under boss Callum Davidson and the Spiders have the potential to make tonight’s clash a competitive affair and are likely to score given their recent form.

However, Hibs should ultimately be too strong over the 90 minutes, so a bet on a Hibs win and both teams to score looks like a solid play.

Vente to continue fine start

Dutch striker Vente joined Hibs at the start of last season with a big reputation, having scored 44 goals in the previous two campaigns for Dutch second-tier club Roda JC.

Sadly for Hibs fans, his first season in Scotland was underwhelming - the 25-year-old managed only eight goals across all competitions, with just two coming after the turn of the year.

However, Vente looked sharp on Saturday against Elgin, scoring a hat-trick and with confidence high after his three-goal performance, he looks a decent bet to grab the first goal at Easter Road this evening.
