Harrogate v MK Dons Match Preview
Scott Lindsey looks an excellent appointment for MK Dons, after the 52-year-old worked wonders last season at Crawley, who beat his current employers 8-1 on aggregate in the Play-Off Semi-Final en route to promotion.
The Red Devils were massive underdogs in League Two, everyone’s favourite for 2023-24 relegation, whereas at Stadium:MK, he’ll be working with one of the best squads on paper in the league – including diminutive playmaker Liam Kelly, who starred under his guidance at Broadfield.
The squad is also built, already, for the possession-heavy style Lindsey wants to play, with attacking wing-backs like the athletic Aaron Nemane, and the technical Joe Tomlinson.
So, it should be a plug-and-play tactic for Lindsey, who has everything he needs to hit the ground running, following a 1-1 draw at Bromley in his first game.
Harrogate have enjoyed some good home form lately, beating the likes of Doncaster and Bradford, but could struggle with the quality of their visitors under new management.
