The Blades have started the 2024/25 campaign perfectly, securing a 2-0 win against Preston in their league opener, followed by a 4-2 home victory over Wrexham in the League Cup. I expect them to make it three in a row today against a QPR side that has lost four of their last five games.
Inter Milan to beat Genoa
Inter Milan have retained much of their roster from last season, the same squad that dominated Italy and comfortably won the Serie A title. I expect the Nerazzurri to have a successful start to the new campaign.
Newcastle to win HT-FT vs Southampton
Southampton will need time to adjust to the intensity of the Premier League after earning promotion last season. Newcastle looked phenomenal in their recent home games against Girona and Brest, so I’m backing the Magpies to win both halves.
Liverpool Win & BTTS vs Ipswich Town
Liverpool had an excellent pre-season, defeating Real Betis, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Sevilla, with only a draw against Las Palmas. Ipswich Town have been consistent in scoring during friendlies, but I don’t see them stopping the in-form Reds.
