Fifth ODI: England v Australia Cricket Betting Tips & Betting Offers

I have to admit, I didn’t see this coming. I still think Australia are the superior side. But, fair play to England, they have been superb over the last few days to level things up at 2-2 and set up a decider at Bristol.
The win at Durham was more measured, whereas they blew Australia away at Lord’s last night in a display which will quieten the critics of their ‘aggression at all costs’ style of play.
To post 312-5 from 39 overs takes quite some doing, and they followed that up with a clinical bowling display to run through the Aussies, who were 126 all out.
Captain Harry Brook stood out again with 87 before Matthew Potts claimed four wickets.
This clash should a belter. Both sides will go full throttle, both with team selection and style of play. They will be desperate to win.
I have tipped Australia for victory in the last couple of games and it hasn’t worked out. But I’m sticking with them, as I just see them as the better side who have been slightly off it and have come up against a dangerous opponent who have hit their straps.
I expect them to improve and would be taking the 4/5 BetGoodwin have on them. The Aussies were much shorter earlier in the series but have drifted with two defeats.

I want to give you a Heads-up on a winner - ODI betting tips preview
Australia opener Travis Head has played eight matches on tour in the UK, including the trio of T20 internationals against Scotland at the start of the month. He has reached at least 29 in six of those innings, including an 80 against Scotland and a 154 not out against England.

He hasn’t made a significant impression in the last two games, but I would be backing him to at Bristol.
Bet365 have him at 7/4 to score a half-century in the match, the first of two prices I will give you on his success. The latter, I will finish this ODI betting tips preview with.
I also like the 19/10 William Hill have on Phil Salt and Steve Smith to hit over two fours apiece in the South West.
Durham fast bowlers Brydon Carse and Matthew Potts are the joint leading wicket-takers in the series with seven apiece. It surprises me they are both 5/1 to be England’s top bowler in the match at Bristol. Potts claimed four wickets at Lord’s, Carse took three in the same match.
Potts, who bowls with the new ball and at the death, would be the one I’d be siding with. I just think 5/1 is too juicy. If Carse is your pick, I would not try and divert you away from it.

Returning to Head to finish, I think a big innings in an Australia would set him up for a player-of-the-match award.
PaddyPower have him at 9/1 to take home that honour.
