Eric Dier responds to Arsenal fan’s chants after Champions League clash

Eric Dier has responded to Arsenal fan’s chants aimed at him during the Champions League quarter-final meeting between the Gunners and Bayern Munich.

Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw at the Emirates by Thomas Tuchel’s side and are 8/5 with bet365 to win the return leg next week.

Dier and fellow ex-Tottenham star Harry Kane both made their first respective returns to north London on Tuesday night for the clash with the Gunners.

As was to be expected, the Arsenal faithful did not shy away from aiming digs at the English duo during the 90 minutes at the Emirates.

The pair were subjected to plenty of boos, jeers and mocking chants from the Arsenal fans, who also made up the entire crowd including the away end as Bayern supporters were banned from attending the match by UEFA.

However, Dier took the frosty reception in good spirits and even described it as ‘nice’ and ‘something to enjoy’:

“We were both expecting it, so it’s nice. It’s part of football. It’s something to enjoy,” Dier said.
