A.J. Brown Anytime Touchdown Scorer
A.J. Brown has found the end zone in each of his three games this season. He dominated in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, hauling in five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown. After suffering a hamstring injury in practice leading up to Week 2, Brown missed the next three games.
In the past two weeks, Brown has amassed 11 receptions for 205 receiving yards and two touchdowns. As a three-time Pro Bowler, he’s clearly a key target in the Eagles’ receiving corps, and I expect him to score against Cincinnati.
The Bengals have held their last two opponents to a combined 21 points, beating the Cleveland Browns 21-14 and the New York Giants 17-7. However, their defence faces a tougher challenge with the Eagles coming to town.
Cincinnati allows 23.7 points per game (20th in the NFL) and has surrendered 19 offensive touchdowns this season, with 11 of those through the air. With this in mind, we’re kicking off our Eagles v Bengals tips with A.J. Brown to score.
Jalen Hurts Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
The Bengals’ defence has struggled against stronger opponents, conceding 41 points to Baltimore, 38 to Washington, and 26 to Kansas City. Cincinnati will need to keep a close eye on Philadelphia’s formidable ground game, which could open up opportunities for Jalen Hurts to exploit through the air.
Hurts has passed for only 1,308 yards and seven touchdowns over six games, having missed A.J. Brown in a few key moments. With Brown already backed to score in this matchup, I expect Hurts could comfortably throw a couple of touchdown passes at Paycor Stadium.
Cincinnati’s pass rush has fallen short of elite, recording only 12 sacks over seven games (27th in the NFL) and allowing 217.0 passing yards per game (21st). While the Eagles will rely on their ground game, this should create space for their passing attack as well.
In addition, Saquon Barkley, one of the league’s top running backs, excels not only on the ground but also as a receiver from the backfield, highlighting the versatility Hurts has around him.
Hurts has several high-quality targets, and if you’re looking to take a risk on one player, keep an eye on tight end Grant Calcaterra, who is 5/1 to score a touchdown. The Bengals have already allowed four touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season.
