Doncaster Rovers Promotion Odds Now 7/2 after Colchester Win

The unthinkable is happening in Doncaster.
From flirting with relegation in February, Doncaster Rovers have come to life, and flown up the League Two table, into a playoff spot and now, in with a genuine chance of promotion to League One.
Not even in the betting a few months back, the Doncaster Rovers promotion odds are now at 7/2 following a 4-1 thumping of Colchester on Tuesday night.
Doncaster Rovers 7/2 for Promotion to League One
Given their current form, it’s no surprise to see Rovers so high in the betting market for promotion. They’ve won 10 in a row, a win on Saturday when they face Gillingham and they will head into the League Two playoffs on the back of 11 straight victories.
Their playoff place isn’t fully confirmed yet, but does look likely, that hasn’t stopped bookmakers making them general second favourites for promotion, they are a best price of 7/2 with Paddy Power.
The full League Two promotion odds can be seen below.
- MK Dons - 6/4
- Doncaster - 7/2
- Crewe - 5/1
- Barrow - 6/1
- Crawley - 10/1
- Bradford - 25/1
- Walsall - 500/1
Rovers Should Fear No One in Playoffs
10 wins against anyone is an achievement, but this hasn’t been an easy run for Doncaster.
During the run, they’ve beaten Wrexham, who have already gained promotion to League One, as well as Crewe, Barrow and Walsall, team who are still involved in the playoff battle.
That’s given them experience of six pointers, big games, and that’s exactly what they’ll face in the playoffs, assuming they make it there on Saturday.
The season ends with an away trip to Gillingham, a game that Rovers need a point from, to be safely in the playoffs, but given they’ve won their last 10, I’m sure they’ll be going out to win it.
