Bayer Leverkusen vs West Ham

Jarrod Bowen injury update

Bayer Leverkusen are in the midst of a superb 2023/24 campaign that currently sees them sat top of the Bundesliga and unbeaten in 28 games.

As a result, West Ham will need to play beyond their best if they are to stand any chance of getting a result in Europe this week.

The east Londoners will also need Jarrod Bowen, who has scored 19 and assisted eight in 2023/24, to be at the top of his game. However, there was concern over the weekend when West Ham’s MVP limped off during their win over Wolves.

Speaking after said match, David Moyes provided an injury update on Jarrod Bowen but did not confirm if the 27-year-old would be ok to feature vs Bayer Leverkusen:

“We’ve got to hope he’s OK,” Moyes said. “We need all our top players. “He’s had a knee into his hip or back. It’s not a twist. He said he’s got kneed and he’s really stiff.

“I’ve had one or two of those myself and they don’t go away too quick. I’m hoping it won’t be too bad.”
