After the highs of not only qualifying for a second successive European Championships but also reaching the top tier of the Nations League, there was no doubt that Scottish football was riding a huge wave of success.

Positivity that came at the expense of Poland and for everyone who suggests that Luka Modric cannot play at the very highest level, he once again silenced any critics with the game’s only goal and Croatia’s first three points of the league phase.
