Bolton Promotion Odds Now 4/6 after Reaching Wembley Final

After a tense night at the Toughsheet Stadium, Bolton Wanderers made it through to the League One playoff final at Wembley a week on Saturday.
A 5-4 aggregate win was enough to see The Trotters through, but it was not without worry, as Barnsley pushed hard in the second leg.
Bolton were favourites to win the playoffs before a ball was kicked, and now after reaching the final, they are 4/6 favourites with bet365 for success, despite us not knowing who they will face in the final yet.
Bolton Promotion Odds: 4/6 Favourites for Wembley Success
Bolton made it to Wembley and won last season, in the EFL Trophy, so they know what it takes to get the job done at the home of football.
That experience, and the general big game experience they have in the squad is going to stand them in good stead for the final.
It will be Oxford or Peterborough, who face each other tonight, that will take on Bolton in the final, Wanderers are already favourites, and will remain so, regardless of who they play.
Bolton Survive Barnsley Scare
Taking a 3-1 lead from the first leg at Oakwell, this should have been a fairly comfortable night for Bolton, but they allowed Barnsley into the game, and it was certainly a nervy finish for the 24,000+ in attendance, on both sides of this.
Barnsley took a 1-0 lead, halving their deficit before Bolton scored two in the space of five minutes, just before half time. That should have been the hammer blow needed to win the tie, but credit to Barnsley for not giving up.
They came from 2-1 down to win 3-2 on the night, and gave a real good showing in the final 15 minutes, as they pushed for one more, which would have taken the game to extra time.
But it was not to be, Bolton held their nerve, and Wembley awaits, with this club finally looking to get themselves back up into the Championship under Ian Evatt.
