Bayern Munich handed major boost before Arsenal as 5 players return to training

Bayern Munich and Arsenal are set to clash at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening in a Champions League quarter-final tie.

The Gunners go into the game as 8/11 favourites with bet365, while Bayern Munich can be backed at 7/2 to pick up a win in north London.

Bayern Munich injury boost before Arsenal

Ahead of travelling to England, Bayern Munich have been handed some good news on the injury front.

This comes with Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer set to be fit for Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final match-up versus Arsenal.

Neuer missed the previous two games for Bayern after tearing a muscle in his left adductor while training with Germany last month.

However, the shot-stopper took part in training on Monday morning along with several other key players.

Aleksandar Pavlovic, Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sane and Noussair Mazraoui missed Saturday’s defeat to Heidenheim and had been doubts for the game with Arsenal. But they, along with Neuer, all took part in training in the build-up to the match.

Elsewhere, Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry has spoken out on returning to his former club this week: “It’s a do-or-die game - that’s where we’re usually particularly strong. Reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League would give us a huge boost. It’s our big goal.

“Arsenal have had what it takes to play at the top again for a long time. The team has a certain flair and exudes strength. The odds are probably 50-50. Arsenal have been on a very good run since Christmas. In any case, you can’t really say anything bad about a team that’s competing for the Premier League title.
