2025 German Masters Snooker Tips, Preview & Odds
Trump is favourite to retain his crown from twelve months ago in Germany

After the Masters raised the curtain on 2025’s year of snooker, we’re heading to Germany for a star-studded German Masters from inside the Tempodrom in Berlin.
Judd Trump raised this trophy twelve months ago cruising past Si Jiahui 10-5 in the final, and will be eager to put behind him his Masters disappointment and underline why he is still the best player on the baize.
Ronnie O’Sullivan has withdrawn, again, so it’s a familiar group of contenders at the top of the betting in Berlin, with Shaun Murphy a lengthy 17/2 pick after looking pretty unstoppable inside the Ally Pally last week.
Let’s take a closer look at the event that runs from Monday 27th January until Sunday 2nd February, plus our best snooker betting offers from the top online bookmakers.
2025 German Masters Snooker – Competition Format

2025 German Masters Snooker - The Favourites
Check out the favourites to lift the trophy in Berlin this week.
Judd Trump - 11/4 to win the 2025 German Masters
Bagging three German Masters titles across the last five years, Judd Trump has found Berlin – and Milton Keynes over Covid – a happy hunting ground.
The world No.1 fell at the semi-final stages of the Masters to an in-form Kyren Wilson, but despite this disappointment will still be relatively happy with his form throughout the week inside the Alexandra Palace.
Trump opens up his Berlin campaign against David Grace at the top of the draw bracket and is on a potential collision course with rival and the improving Neil Robertson in the Last 16.
Kyren Wilson - 6/1 to win the 2025 German Masters
Keep your eyes on the world champion this week.
Kyren Wilson showed his battling qualities at the Masters last week and was unlucky to fall to an inspired Shaun Murphy in a high-quality final.
The “Warrior” is playing with a confidence that suggests he will pick up more titles in 2025, and a win here at the German Masters in 2019 will be a happy memory for the 33-year-old.
Mark Selby - 13/2 to win the 2025 German Masters
Despite a splattering of early exits across ranking tournaments this season, Mark Selby has still shown flashes of why he can never be counted out at the business end of a tournament.
The 2015 German Masters champion has the British Open title in his trophy cabinet this season and has made a habit of reaching quarters and semis in some of the other bigguns.
He’s still not quite at his granite best, but a favourable run could well see Selby contest this title in Berlin.
Selby starts off against Liu Hongyu in a Chinese-heavy segment of the draw.
Shaun Murphy - 17/2 to win the 2025 German Masters
Shaun Murphy admitted himself that he thought his big winning days were over, but a dominant display at last week’s Masters makes the “Magician” a contender again in ranking affairs.
If the eighth seed can use just a touch of his momentum coming into Berlin from north London, then 17/2 for a Tempodrom title begins to look like a monster price.
A 9-7 final loss to Mark Selby is the closest that Murphy has ever gotten to this title.
2025 German Masters Snooker – Best Tips
Check out our German Masters snooker tips for this week's action in the Tempodrom.
Kyren Wilson to win his Quarter
Pound-for-pound across the top 16, it would be hard to argue against Kyren Wilson being one of the best in-form players at the moment.
The “Warrior” rarely falls super early in tournaments, and has discovered an edge in his play since picking up the World Championship last year.
His quarter includes an up-and-down John Higgins, an unpredictable Luca Brecel and Zhang Anda, all players that Wilson will fancy his chances in if he is pitted against any down the line I Berlin.
7/4 for Wilson to win his quarter is the pick of the week at the German Masters.
Mark Selby to Reach the Final
The bottom half of the draw looks significantly weaker than the top half this week, opening up the door for the aforementioned Wilson, and Mark Selby to grab a final spot.
There are a few talented banana skins in Selby’s segment – including Gary Wilson and Si Jiahui – but the “Jester” has been there, done that and got many t-shirts in these sort of contests.
Selby seems to get up for the ranking televised events with well attended crowds, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was to reach his third German Masters final.
