There is a lot of hype over Si Jiahui that he could possibly become one of the Chinese stars to fulfill his full potential on the WST.
The 21-year-old had a modest season in the ranking tournaments after breaking onto the scene by reaching the 2023 World Championship semi-final, but will take heart in motoring to the final of the German Masters and performing well at the Shoot-Out.
But this new season gives the youngster a fresh chance to make a push in climbing the rankings, and a 3-0 decimation of Lee Daegyu looks likely in his Group 13 opener.

World number 70 Zak Surety progressed well in the 2023-24 season, with ranking runs enjoyed at the German Masters and Snooker Shoot-Out.
It’s not easy making that next big leap into the meat and potatoes of tournaments, but the 32-year-old will be confident in taking something away from a clash with Jimmy Robertson.
Jimmy Robertson hasn’t enjoyed much table time in 2024, and with seven losses in his last 11 matches will need to find that winning formula again in Leicester.
