Reverse D’Alembert Roulette Strategy

Reverse D’Alembert Roulette Strategy

Like quite a few strategies for Roulette you will find that they have a ‘reverse’ system and this is no exception being a reverse of the standard D’Alembert Roulette System This particular one is also sometimes known as the Contre D’Alembert.

The standard system can have some disadvantages that generally stems from trying to progress after losses. Therefore the Reverse D’Alembert Roulette Strategy (or Contre version) was created by some mathematicians. The benefit that this system gives compared to the standard one is that players need even less money to use it on the Roulette table. If you happen to be unlucky enough to experience quite a long losing streak you won’t need to try compensating the loss by wagering even more chips each spin.

How to use the Reverse D’Alembert System

As with the standard system this is based on using the outside bets such as red or black, odd or even and blocks of numbers 1-18 and 19-36.

With this reverse system instead of raising your bets after a losing spin of the wheel, the player steadily increases the bet after winning. So if the minimum bet was ‘one chip’ and the player wins, you would add on one extra chip and continue to add on one chip as long as the winning streak continues.

If however you have a losing spin you would then remove 1 chip at a time until either you win again or are back down to a single chip. At this point you would just continue to bet a single chip.

As an example of how this works lets start with a single chip and win three times, lose one, win twice, lose one and win twice. The betting pattern would play out as follows:-

1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 4 – 5

In this situation the profit would be 1 + 2 + 3 – 4 + 3 + 4 – 5 + 4 + 5 = 13

A profit of 13 x your minimum chip bet is good but the results in the example above are favourable ones. Seeing these sort of results are quite slim over a long period of time. The main thing to remember with this system is that a player will only be in profit if there are more wins than losses.

Does the Reverse D’Alembert System Work?

With the standard D’Alembert system the profit you can make, if the total number of wins and losses are the same over the period of time played, will be the total of bets won. So if you bet one chip at a time and have 8 spins with 4 wins and 4 losses you will win 4 chips. However the reverse is true with the Reverse D’Alembert as you would have lost 4 chips. Therefore this system will only really be profitable if you hit a good winning streak.

Overall this version does seem to be less risky but it doesn’t guarantee consistent wins either.
