Interesting Blackjack Variations You Must Try!

Blackjack is one of the most fascinating games in the world, with a number of thrilling variations that have been evolved from long-standing classics. With this in mind, let’s take a look at three of the most popular and globally renowned formats of the game.

Pontoon

Pontoon is a great variation of the American Blackjack and is popular in Britain, the Commonwealth, Australian, Malaysian and Singapore casinos. It is a great game for those that are new to playing Blackjack and for those that are beginning to find traditional American Blackjack monotonous. This is because it is a simpler and more user-friendly version that offers something a little different. Similarly to Blackjack the idea of the game is that each card has a value of between 1 and 10 and you aim is to get as close to 21 without going over. Some of the main differences are in the rules including that a tie is a loss, you must hit if you have 14 or less and you can hit after doubling down.

Sic Bo or Hi Lo

Sic Bo is an ancient game which originated in China but whose popularity has spread across Asia, the Philippines and the United States of America. Although the translation of Sic Bo is actually dice pair the game is actually played using three dice, not two! The game is fairly straightforward to play; you simply make a bet on a certain kind of a dice roll result. Once the dice are rolled you will either win or lose based on the results of the dice. If you correctly bet on the outcome of the dice you win your bet and if you did not you lose your bet.

If this kind of game interests you then you are in luck. Bet365 has recently added Sic Bo to their collection of online gaming. Not only this, but if you aspire to feel all the thrill of a real casino you can even play it live.

Super Fun 21

Super Fun 21 is another variation of Blackjack. Again, the basic premise of Blackjack remains: the need to get as close to 21 as is possible without going over. The rule variations include that splitting is allowed on two cards if they have the same value i.e. 3 and 3, 7 and 7 etc. Further, if a player wants to split their hand they will have to equal their initial wager. Players are able to Double Down on any two cards both before and after they split their hand. It is also possible to late surrender in Super Fun 21; even after you have split your hands.
